Most courses have in season and off season prices, as well as guest and non guest prices, many courses are part of resorts or hotels and member and non member prices. Some of the more famous require carts and a mandatory caddy. With year round temperatures in the mid 70s and clear blue skies make for perfect conditions to hit a fantastic round of golf, or at the very least console yourself in the breathtaking views. Travelers should keep in mind several tips when golfing in The Bahamas. First of all, expect lots of varying conditions between courses, and often between holes on the same course. The rough can vary from tall grass land to thick forest, and the green can offer very different putting experiences depending on the hole. Careful club selection is highly recommended. Golfers should also be aware that The Bahamas is notorious for strong breezes off the water that will send a ball out of bounds. Golfers with a handicap above 15 are advised to bring lots of extra balls for this reason.

Port St George, Long Island. Coming soon. There is already lots and lots of talk about this new proposed marina and golf development which is scheduled for the Stella Maris area of Long Island. We're following the news on the development of this resort with keen interest, and will publish updated news as it develops. When this project starts, we're heading south, down to Long Island. Latest news on this resort. June 20th 2008 Approval granted for the Port St George marina and golf resort. Full government approval has been received for the development. From July 1st 2008 the import of construction materials used for the construction of all new housing on Long Island will be excise tax and import duty free.
